Inspiration Behind This Modern Equine Painting
The patchiness and spots of Paint horses reminds me a lot of the markings of the Texas Longhorn cattle that I've painted. My palette for this one was real similar to what I had used for the longhorn bull painting, "Hombre", though I used different brush techniques. Many Paint horses have those icy blue eyes that just captivate you and I hope they do in this painting as well.
